As creative entrepreneurs, we’re constantly creating high quality, visually appealing content to market out businesses. We need beautiful imagery that reflects who we are as a business and speaks to our ideal audience. But finding them (much less creating our own) is super time consuming.
Enter, stock photos. Stock photos are the answer to creating beautiful marketing material and social media content for our businesses without having to take our own or hire a photographer.
Almost all of the images on my website and Pinterest Pins come from stock photos, and today I wanted to share my favourite sites and stock photo sources!
All of the sites below are paid sites, but many of them offer some free imagery as well, which is a great way to try them out and see if you watch their vibe.
Keep scrolling for the best stock photo sites for creative entrepreneurs.
Haute Stock is the site I use the most, and the majority of the imagery for my blog posts and ebooks come from their library. They offer a beautiful selection of photos perfect for creative entrepreneurs with categories like Health & Wellness, Lifestyle, Minimal, Tech Mockup, Interiors, and so much more.
They also just announced their new stock video collection which I am SO excited about because as I’ve talked about before, video content is huge on Pinterest right now.
Moyo Studio sells really gorgeous packs including photos, mockups and scene creators. Their photos have the perfect luxe meets minimal vibe, and I love them for website and ebook imagery.
ColorJoy Stock was founded to not only provide female entrepreneurs with scroll-stopping imagery but to also provide more diversity. Their images and super inclusive and showcase all body types and skin tones, which we love to see! Their membership also includes Canva templates, education content, and more.
You maybe have heard me say it before but I LOVE Creative Market. I’ve used it to buy all of the templates for my freebie, my ebook, my client welcome guide, and more. They’re like Etsy for creative marketing tools, and you can find some really amazing products there.
Social Squares is another stock photo membership that I absolutely love. They have a huge collection of beautiful photos, and they also provide lots of great marketing tips and guides as part of their membership.
Check out Social Squares here.
Canva offers a ton of beautiful stock photos and videos in both their free and paid versions. I use Canva to create all of my ebooks and Pinterest Pins, so it’s super easy to scrool through their collections when I’m making my content.
They have an almost overwhelming amount of photos, and a lot of them aren’t my style, so I like to scroll through now and then and “Favourite” images I like so they’re easy to find for future use. I use search terms like “beige.” “minimal,” “neutral,” and “blogger” to find the kinds of images I like to use.
